Cadence Innovation New Technology For Baja Marine

http://www.cadenceinnovation.com/news.php?id=160

Bucyrus, Ohio (April 21, 2006) - Cadence Innovation LLC, a leading Tier One supplier of interior and exterior automotive components, systems and modules, announced today that it will utilize its patented

"Sandwiform" technology to supply the unique "Bow Lounger" seat for the Baja 405 Performance, the flagship of Baja Marine's Performance line.

Sandwiform is a fiber-reinforced, all-thermoplastic honeycomb composite system that is 70 percent lighter than the materials it replaces. The remarkable strength-to-weight ratio provides a rigid assembly to help enhance the performance of the boat. The Sandwiform system is a cost-effective solution that reduces expenditure by 50 percent over the life of the product and can be manufactured in a fraction of the time - two minutes versus five hours!
"Our products have been used in automobile, heavy truck, golf cart and agricultural industry assemblies for years," said Jerry L. Mosingo, president and chief executive officer of Cadence Innovation. "Sandwiform provides innovation and advantages in products being built everyday. Decorative and structurally sound, it offers the aesthetic values of improved fit, form and function. It is also water-resistant and 100 percent recyclable."

The new "Bow Lounger" seat will replace the traditional structural foam polymer-based panels in the bow of the Baja 405 Performance. The Sandwiform seat, a hybrid honeycomb sandwich composite laminate, can be molded with one or both sides finished with carpet, fabrics or decorative films.

"Baja is consistently at the forefront of technology," says Bill Regan, Baja's vice president of operations. "Incorporating a revolutionary, weight-saving material like Sandwiform into the 405 is yet another way we're working on creating even faster boats with a sleeker aesthetic."

With the success of the Bow Lounger, future uses of the Sandwiform technology in boats could include cabin roof liners and side panels replacing plywood with Sandwiform for greater strength and durability. Molding the Sandwiform panels in 3-D shapes allows boat manufacturers to reinforce decorative panels used for complex shapes such as the helm doors. The weight savings and water resistance make Sandwiform an ideal option for use in the marine industry.

Cadence Innovation May Exit French Market

http://www.cadenceinnovation.com/news.php?id=166

TROY, Mich., June 2, 2006-Cadence Innovation LLC ("Cadence" or "the Company") announced today that it has been exploring strategic alternatives with regard to its indirect French subsidiary, in order to focus on its existing U.S. and Eastern European operations, as well as other markets currently contemplated. Cadence gained ownership of the French subsidiary in May 2005 when it acquired that subsidiary's parent corporation in the Czech Republic. The Company has been evaluating the French operations - which have been operating subject to a court approved Plan of Continuation since a French bankruptcy filing in 2003 - for the past year.

"In order to compete effectively, the French subsidiary would require an infusion of capital that, today, we are not necessarily prepared to make," said Cadence Innovation President and Chief Executive Officer, Jerry L. Mosingo.

"We constantly assess all operations to ensure we have the optimal mix of the best products, and best processes all in the right places. We are committed to being an effective, efficient, and focused organization. The Cadence value proposition is resonating with key OEM customers. We have been awarded in excess of $100 million in new business in the U.S. and Czech Republic since the new company was formed last year," said Mosingo.

Cadence's French subsidiary is an independent business entity and has limited relationships with the ultimate U.S. parent other than the ownership interest. The French manufacturing operations include four plants located in Noeux-Les-Mines, Pouance, Burnhaupt-Le-Haut, Vernon St. Marcel.
